Salty Summer Skate Series – Utah Skate Competition

With blue skies, a cool breeze and kids hyped and ready to shred, we kicked off our first stop in our Salty Summer Skate Series at Rose Park. We had three divisions, 13 and under, 14-17 and 18+. We broke  it down into minute-and-a-half heats, with 2-3 skaters charging simultaneously. The panel of three judges rated on the difficulty of tricks, the use of the park and most importantly, style. Utah has some amazing skaters. They showed us what they had up their sleeves and threw down some extra steezy lines. From parents to the curious bystanders, everyone enjoyed themselves. The next stop on the list is SoJo (South Jordan). The contest will start at 5p.m. on Sunday July 8, 2012. We are sure the buzz created from this comp, should result in an even larger turn out for SoJo.
