Rome SDS Shank Snowboard
You'll be the toughest guy in prison with this shank. The Rome Shank Snowboard was designed to be a mini powerhouse, ridden 3-4cm shorter than your normal size. The combination of such amazing features as the all new No Hang-Ups Rocker, HotRods, Skatecore, ButterOut Transition Zones, AND QuickRip Sidecut makes the Shank ride like your favorite skateboard while still floating when you need it too. The huge guy who's been eyeballing you from across the cafeteria won't know what hit him when you bust out your Rome Shank Snowboard.
- Snowboard base graphics may vary.
- We are a small store and don't ship from a warehouse. Many of our snowboards are display models and may show minor cosmetic wear from being handled by customers. This could include small scratches or scuffs on the topsheet or evidence of fingerprints. We will always contact you if there is damage that is more than cosmetic such as any damage to the base or edges. Please contact us if you have a question about the condition of a particular board. Thank you for supporting core shops!

3D camber profiling in the nose and tail, with a flat NoHang-Ups Diamond that end 20 mm before the end of the running length. These boards blend the playfulness of the 3D rocker with more pop in the nose and tail and more anti-revert control when landing spins.
Skate Style Above All Else
Boards that prefer to spend 90% of their time in the park or dodging security at the local college campus. With soft flex profiles and geometries geared towards playfulness, the main course for these boards are rails, ledges, boxes and wall rides. That lineup for the fun box with a ton of riders waiting for their turn? You’ll see a bunch of these press-happy, get-loose decks in that crew.
HotRods: Carbon Single Barrel— One rod of preloaded energy in the nose and another in the tail that takes power from your bindings and snaps it through your turns and hits. Pure ollie and nollie power without unwanted torque.
QuickRip Sidecut: Advanced sidecut geometry giving a short playful feel at slower speeds and a longer fast, stable feel at higher speeds. The Mid-Board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.
ButterOut Transition Zones: Smooth as butta’; this drawn out transition zone is a playful take on our classic design, creating a play-a-round freestyle board, guaranteed to fuel your snowboard addiction.
Skatecore Profiling: New for 2013, we created a core profile that is softer between the feet and stiffer in the nose and tail. The result is a ride that feels like a pair of trucks when turning and that ollies more like a skateboard. Balanced on rails, with a truer feeling in blunts. Take stock skate lines from the concrete park to the on hill park.
SuperPop Core Matrix: Three zones of low-density wood with extended segments of poplar create a light, smooth transition of flex and a snappy reply of pop that is embedded in the boards like the Crossrocket, Shank, Agent Rocker, Lo-Fi Rocker, and Gold.
StraightTriax 30 Laminate: The laminate that covers all the bases—from the park to all-mountain peaks, the 30-defree off-axis fibers set the personality of the board to flex into low speed butters and pop into high speed takeoffs. Provides some extra kick in a slash and maintains your style while getting creative on and off the trails.
SinterTrue Base: Durable structure with wax absorbing traits that create a fast moving base that can hold up to the abuse of park lines and keep up your crew in tree lines.
Basalt Impact Plates: Directly under the bindings is the most vulnerable area of any snowboard. With extreme amounts of force being directed towards the baseplates, compression and stress needs to be eliminated and absorbed as much as possible. Made from Kevlar, Basalt or Glass, Impact Plates reduce compressions by 2 times.
