Independent 215 Longboard Trucks
Independent 215 Stage 10s are some big, beefy skateboard-style trucks built to suit the width requirements of the average longboard. Why would you want regular skate-style trucks on your longboard you say? Well, the main bonus of running Indy 215s on your longboard is the pure freeride pleasure that they offer. Independent's geometry is inherently more slippery because of the dependence on hangar sway to get a full turning radius. Hangar sway essentially favors your uphill wheels while sliding, so you're much less likely to avoid highsiding, and it helps initiate the slide as well since the amount of force required to break traction from the wheels is less than a more evenly distributed truck. Independent 215s are also extremely low, and being lower to the ground means less leverage and less grip too – more sliding! While we don't suggest attempting higher speed riding on these trucks, they're a blast to freeride and freestyle on, and if you happen to have a board with a pair of kicktails, you can definitely hit the skatepark and grind away to your hearts content too, no need to worry about kingpin hangup like regular longboard trucks!
