The Sector 9 Static Longboard isn't really all that static, it's a highly dynamic dropthrough freestyle board! Maybe they called it the Static because you can rub your feet on it then shock your cat? Who knows, but what we do know, is that this board means business. With two behemoth kicktails on the dropped through platform, you've got some serious leverage and massive potential for some pretty gnarly freestyle tricks. The concave is enough to keep you from slipping off, but it won't get in the way while you're trying to do tigerclaws or bigspins. Sector 9 was clever with the construction, nobody wants to drop big bucks on a board, but stiffening up a dropthrough board with big kicktails is tough, so Sector 9 did a handful of vertically laminated maple plies in the center of the deck to ensure an ultra strong and snappy ride for life!
