Sure… the fact that the Talon bindings are sewn together, instead of consisting only of molded foam, allows us to use multiple materials for the most comfortable ride experience ever. * They’re so sexy and high-tech looking! Not to be shallow, but our products look cool! You have your own sense of fashion. Your computer, your cell phone, and your wardrobe all match your personality… why shouldn’t your bindings? Our Talon bindings come in 5 different shades: Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, and Pink, so you’re not limited to only black.
* These mountainboard bindings are durable! They use simulated leather instead of real leather… so you get that nice look, but don’t have to worry about your binding disintegrating when you go near salt-water, or harsh sand conditions. The ratchet and internal components are all stainless steel, so will not rust if you hit the beach, and do not clean them immediately. These are saltwater proof!
* The Talons have ballistic nylon on the back, which gives the kind of grip to your shoes that a frog gets to a fly with its sticky tongue! Riding sure does work better when your feet stay where they’re supposed to.
* While the mini- cell foam inside is responsible for that extreme comfort, it is also very resilient, impervious to mildew/mold/rot/bacteria, and after just a few sessions it will start to conform to your feet.
* The ratchet has extremely smooth action, allows for precision adjustment, and has a quick-release system. It is very easy to tighten, and you’d have to have feet made of plastic to not feel the fact that your feet are definitely secure.
In the standard Ground Industries commitment to innovation, we made sure to reinvent the wheel… well.. the binding! Rather than do the standard method of molding a flat piece of foam, and forcing it to be bent, our bindings are designed to be bent. They are in their natural state while bent, so are not fighting your foot, or trying to release as you ride. Did we mention that they are extremely light? Well, they are! They only weigh 0.54pounds (244 grams) per binding including mounting bolts.
Our pro riders gave us their wish list, and we stepped up to the challenge. They spent hundreds of hours testing these, and we kept tweaking and tweaking, until we’ve reached what we believe is binding heaven.
