The Jones Talon Poles are three part a carbon fiber and alluminum collapsible poles that size down to mount on the side of your pack for the descent. These trustworthy workhorses are as durable as ever and will be your most used tool on a daily basis in the backcountry. Jones took into consideration that when on the skin track, we tend to move our hands in different positions so the decision was made to extend the foam grips 8 inches past the top handle for traverses and other similar situations.
