Tailgate Alaska is sponsored this year by FLOW and it’s a great place to start if you are ready to ride big mountain terrain. It takes place March 29-April 7 about 45 minutes from Valdez. The reason this is a good start is it is a planned event. There is ample staff on board to teach you the basics of big mountain boarding, there are heli’s, cats, sleds, and a huge basecamp with the coldest beer on Earth!
