This is your year! Enough of riding that beat up old board, time to treat yourself to a brand new set-up that will remind you just how much fun snowboarding is! And of course, Salty Peaks is here to help you with the process. 2015 Burton Snowboards are in stock and ready to ship, so I’m going to give you a break down on each and every one that we have.
2015 Burton Family Tree Flight Attendant SnowboardWe’re going to start with the Family Tree line of boards. Any board listed as being part of the Family Tree is going to be pretty powder/freeride specific, designed for handling everything the backcountry can throw at you. The first model in the Family Tree line is the 2015 Burton Flight Attendant Snowboard. While the S Rocker let’s you float like a boat in the deepest of powder, the Balanced Freeride Geometries make the Flight Attendant feel like a true twin board when you’re riding flat based down groomers. It also features the amazing board feel and lightweight control you get when you mount EST bindings to The Channel, as well as the pinpointed pop and performance that comes from Squeezebox’s thinner core sections under your feet and thicker sections out towards the tip and tail. A profiled core like Sqeezebox ads flexibility, response, and power exactly where you need it. Lastly, Burton tops off all their boards with Infinite Ride, which is their process of over-building the board, making it a little thicker and stiffer than they want, then pre-breaking it in in their factory so it rides the same from day 1 to 100.
2015 Burton Family Tree Landlord SnowboardThe 2015 Burton Family Tree Landlord Snowboard is similar to the Flight Attendant in that it features the same S-Rocker, Balanced Freeride Geometry, The Channel, Infinite Ride, and it happens to SLAY powder! Some of the big differences that make the Landlord a little more freeride/backcountry specific are the shape, with a pointed tail and big rounded nose, and 17mm of taper instead of 10mm, meaning the tail is narrower than the nose, causing it to sink better in powder and float the nose like the hull of a boat. The stance is also more setback, adding to the surfy feel of the nose and the sink in the tail. Finally, the Landlord is equipped with Carbon Highlights, making is super lightweight and powerful, all while being eco-friendly with a sustainable FSC™ certified wood core and recycled PET topsheet.
