FOR THE GUYS…

Devin picks the 686 Plexus Ebony Softshell Jacket and the Volcom New Modern Articulated Pant. About the jacket he says, “This stylish shell jacket from 686 is rad! With herringbone texture on the outside and fleece on the inside this jacket looks good whether you are on the slopes or the streets. With all the essentials for any shell jacket plus 15,000mm waterproofing, this jacket is a winner.”About the pant he says, “The Volcom Modern Pant is a nice relaxed fit pant with a variety of good colors to go with whatever else you might be wearing. With a reasonable amount of pockets, plus the nice hand warmer pockets these pants are a good fit and look.”
Drew is stoked on the 32 Cedar Jacket in Moss and the Volcom Loft Tight Jean Pant. About the jacket he says, “Simple 10K, all the essential features plus real crisp military jacket look.” About the pants he says, “Stretch tight pant, with 15K waterproofing/breathability, priced at $170 = sickest tight pant ever.”
Zac likes the Burton Hackett Jacket in Bitters Ridelow Plaid and the Burton The Jeans Pant in Black Denim. About the jacket he says, “Dope flannel style, super comfy and mad flexible. 10k and 10k means that this ain’t your weird uncle’s flannel, but instead an all mountain day in and day out tech piece.” About the pant he says, “GoreTex to keep you warm and dry and styled to look like you’re just rocking your jeans. This pant also features a mid fit so you’re not pulling your pants up every minute, but you’re not struggling to get into them either. Perfect anyway you cut it!”
Nate picks the 686 Snaggletooth Operation Jacket in Cyan and the 686 Reserved Raw Pant in Black Premium Wax Denim. About the jacket he says, “Love the jacket because it’s bright, fun and the Snaggletooth embroidery really pops.” About the pant he says, “Love this pant because of the cut and stretch features that are skate inspired.”
Carlos is stoked on the Ride Capitol Down Jacket and the Nomis Denim Pant. About the jacket he says, “So this year I have to endorse the Ride Capitol down jacket. Coming in at $290, it is a little more bread than some of Ride’s other pieces, but well worth the investment for what you get. Strata HD II is a dual layer laminate with a moisture wicking coating that stays on even after numerous washings. With a 15k/10k waterproofing and breathability rating, this jacket will keep you more than toasty all day, and comfortably dry as well. You can also stow up to 8 cans of… soda hidden in the inner back of the jacket. How convenient!” About the pant he says, “The best looking pant this year has to be the Nomis Denim. It’s actually a fully functional 15k/15k snow pant, with the look and feel of your favorite pair of 5 pocket jeans! The price? Well that’s the best part! For just a buck ninety nine you can cruise around the mountain in style and comfort, just like Simon. If the Mario Bros. do it, so should you: (denim denim denim)!!”
Jerry says, “I chose the Quiksilver Travis GoreTex Jacket and Quiksilver Travis GoreTex Pant because if you can afford this, you probably ride like Travis Rice, JK, really once you get GoreTex you never go back and you can’t deny they awesome art, yeah boy.”
Jake is stoked on the Cappel Clampdown Jacket in Black Wool and the Cappel Bankrobber Pant in Tank. About the jacket he says, “Class and functionality is the name of the game! This jacket has all the style you need to beat the streets but with a 10K waterproofing, it still has what you need to tear it up on the mountain.” About the pant he says, “The perfect companion for the Clampdown Jacket, these pants stick with the slim, tailored, classy steeze Cappel does so well, while having all the functionality you need to look good while you get rowdy in the snow.”
Josh picks the Volcom Bjorn 3 Layer Jacket and the Volcom Gigi Ruf TDS Pant. About the jacket he says, “Fits long to keep your butt dry and is a 3 layer super waterproof shell. It’s has Riri waterproof zippers to stop wind and cold from breaking in. At 15k waterproofing and 15k breathability this jacket keeps you dry in the gnarliest conditions. Not to mention the howl at the moon mystical wolf pattern to keep the evil native spirits at bay.  Zip tech this to your Volcom pants, and go play.” About the pant he says, “Ergo saddle cut pants, so they fit the way you ride. TDS (thermo dynamic system) keeps you warm where you need and not where you don’t. 15k waterproof 10k breathable, and has zip tech to connect to Volcom jackets to keep snow out of your butt and jacket.”
Randy likes the DC Ripley Jacket in Tennis and the DC Sega Slim Pant in Indigo. About the jacket he says, “This jacket has super bright colors, so that you can been seen while filming and in the trees, and a nice long cut to it, which helps when riding in deep powder keeping the snow from scooping up into the back of the jacket. It has a waterproof/breathability of 10,000mm’s so it’s sure to keep you all nice and cozy warm.” About the pant he says, “The pants I decided to complete my kit with would have to be the DC Sega Slim Pant in the Indigo colorway. Talk about steez here kids! Looking like your favorite set of jeans to skate in, this pant has enough street cred for that midnight film session and plenty of leftovers for the mountain. With the water proof rating/breathability coming in at 5,000mm’s this pant has enough to do what it takes to get you through the day, whether it be pow lines in the slack country to your favorite hand rail in town. Take it from me, if you don’t want to be looking like “Tourist Tim” nab these pieces up quick cause they’re going faster than hot biscuits in a bums cold hands.”
AND THE GIRLS’ PICKS…
Steph is stoked on the Roxy Brooke Jacket in True Black and the Cappel Take Over Pant in Tank. About the jacket she says, “The Brooke Jacket is the perfect all-around jacket because it has 10K waterproofing and breathability, insulation (but not too much) and tons of other sweet features, plus it has a nice and long tailored fit.” About the pant she says, “I like this pant mainly because of the slim fit and the nice stretchy material. This pant also has cool features like the exposed zipper pockets and the draw-cord waist adjustment that add style.”
Erin likes the B by Burton Aster Jacket and the Burton TWC Candy Pant. About the jacket she says, “The women’s B by Burton Aster Jacket has a great fit; slimmer fitting for the ladies but longer in length as requested by the team riders. The extended length of the zip out flannel powder skirt gives some added flair. The 10,000mm/10,000g rating pretty much seals the deal when it comes to which jacket to buy this season. About the pant she says, “Sick of skinny pants that have no stretch or look silly when you try to fit them over your boots? Well Burton now has the TWC Candy pants that is stretchy in all the most important areas and flared just enough at the ankles so they fit great over your boots. I’ve ridden in these pants already and am way stoked on how they fit and feel when riding.”
Libby picks the Volcom Women’s Louvre JJ VBJ Jacket and the Cappel Women’s Take Over Pant. About the jacket she says, “This jacket is badass; it’s warm, waterproof and has style for days. I also love this jacket because the leather vest is completely detachable from the jacket. It’s also a unique outerwear piece that you won’t see on every other person on the hill.” About the pant she says, “These pants have a great tailored fit, but not too tight and allow you to move and stretch as much as you want. I prefer to layer rather then have bulky lined outerwear so this shell pant is right up my ally, and maybe yours too.”
Ellery is stoked on the Burton AK Gore Tex Flare Down Jacket and the B by Burton Belle Pant. About the jacket she says, “This jacket is great because it is a full on down jacket without the Michelin man effect because the stitching is done on the inside of the coat. Fully taped seams, waterproof zippers and GoreTex waterproofing, this coat is ready for all of your winter adventures.” About the pant she says, “The Belle Pant has a really awesome fit that is slim, but not too tight. I also love the buttons and zipper detailing on these pants.”
