What’s funny is clicker bindings never really went out. I know young bucks don’t start on clickers anymore, but we sell used clickers every single day here at Salty Peaks, and the owner Dennis Nazari swears by them as you can see in this video.
Transworld recently did a test day at Solitude on the K2 Kwicker system and here’s what they had to say about it.
Bindings are a matter of taste and riding style. For those Alpine loving, hard carving, swallowtail set – the K2 Kwicker setup might be for you. They are also going after the backcountry splitboard market hard as hell, with a system that is 4 pounds lighter than average! For those of you who are already comfortable in standard bindings & boots, I doubt you have a reason to change. Of course there used to be an entire industry happy with clickers and they jumped ship to what we have now so maybe a ton of riders will jump back. Time will tell if new boarders will take a chance on the Kwicker setup, but for the old school guys this is a gift that they were definitely not expecting.
