This article is about a month old but I just stumbled upon it and thought it was really good. It’s about a skater named Zack Carpenter who was killed by another skater, Darryl Watson, in an apparent robbery. Zack was the epitome of a cool guy. He helped build out Parasite, New Orleans’ DIY skate park, as well as hook kids up with burgers and dogs on the weekends. He also helped buy kids skateboards and teach them tricks. He really seemed like an amazing guy. This all came to an end when fellow skater Darryl Watson put a bullet in his head. It really is a shame. People are stupid. Read this article, I think most skaters are like Zack and very, very, few lean towards Darryl’s tendencies, but the problem is the media and many of the conservative elderly in the world think we are all like Darryl. If that were true, the rest of us would be dead. Keep skating, keep doing good by each other and appreciate the Zack’s in your life.
