We are stoked to be able to have some serious talent on our snowboard team, and two of our gnarly riders are in a league all their own. Shannan Yates and Kaitlin Elliot know how to slay it in the backcountry, and will be proving that this season on the Freeride World Tour. SLUG Mag recently did an article about them and a couple other Utah ladies who will be competing in the FWT, so give it a read and get ready to witness some serious shredding:

Also, be sure to head to The Canyon Inn this Thursday, Dec. 5th to support these ladies with Freeride Funddrive. Basically, the FWT is not cheap, and travel expenses and time off work add up, especially since the prize purse isn’t always that big. So the Freeride Funddrive is a great event to raise money so Shannan, Kaitlin, and crew can supplement their travels abroad this year. The Canyon Inn is a super fun bar at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon that has cheap drinks, great food, and will feature the beats of DJ BJ. You could even win great raffle prizes and auction items from Salty Peaks! So hopefully we’ll see you at The Canyon Inn on Dec. 5th supporting women’s snowboarding and seriously talented individuals.
