Don’t worry people, not all is lost. While media channels tend to broadcast stories of violence and turmoil, especially when it comes to skateboard related events, every now and then a ray of light pokes through. It was reported today that firefighters in Springfield, MO delivered a brand new skateboard to a young boy after a driver intentionally ran his over. The boy, Jacob, and some friends were skating in the street when they moved to the side of the road to let a car to pass. The driver apparently swerved at them, with what witnesses say was an attempt to run over one of their skateboards, which they did. How messed up is that!?
Thankfully the neighborhood came out in force, with firefighters bringing Jacob and new board and helmet, in addition to the skateboards another family gave to him and his sister. Isn’t that just precious?
