D-Day Snowboards Are Now at Salty Peaks!

D-Day Snowboards at Salty Peaks

In my humble opinion, what this industry really needs is to take a step back from itself. Everyone has become so obsessed with progression and pushing the “sport” to new heights, that it has become alienating to the up-and-comers. I’ve been riding for 10 years now and I still find movies full of gnarly AK lines and constant heli-trips un-relatable. Don’t get me wrong, they are incredible movies with truly talented riders, but snowboarding has become so unattainable to the general public. That’s where D-Day comes in…

We could not be more proud to welcome D-Day Snowboards to the Salty Peaks family! With bombproof construction thanks to the good people at Never Summer, D-Day Snowboards are getting back to the roots of snowboarding with traditional camber profiles and a focus on simply enjoying the act of sliding snow sideways.

I had the privilege and the pleasure to sit down with legendary ripper Mike Ranquet, who is now riding for D-Day, and Co-Founder/insider Nico Nolan to get their thoughts on the industry, as well as to talk about the origins of, the inspiration for, and the future of a brand that’s poised to change the snowboard industry for the better. Enjoy the video, and be sure to head to the next page to check out all the models in their first offering of boards!
