Next up in our Board Reviews at Brighton mini series is another deck from the future, the 2016 Arbor Sin Nombre Snowboard. I got to ride this bad boy on the same day as the Cosa Nostra when Global Sales Manager Ryan Turley and Customer Service Manager Jeff Oborn put on a private demo of sorts for yours truly. The Sin Nombre was also ridden with the Rome Katana bindings for maximum enjoyment. Enjoy!
I’m not even sure where to begin with the Sin Nombre because it was just that incredible. I immediately felt super comfortable on it and it ripped turns like nobodies business. It had the smoothest turning radius, and even though it was cambered, felt easier edge-to-edge than some rocker boards I’ve been on. It is probably due to Arbor’s System technology, Parabolic Camber. It works the same as Parabolic Rocker, but instead of getting progressively less rockered towards the tip and tail, it gets progressively less cambered, essentially making it a super smooth micro camber. They combined this with what they call Uprise Fenders, which put 3 degrees of bevel at the main contact points. Basically, it gives you the edge-to-edge maneuverability of a rocker board without really taking away the contact point pressure and grip you get from a cambered board. To top all this radness off, they even included Grip Tech on the sidecuts, making it absolutely charge and hold an edge with ease. Check out the pics below and get stoked to check out the Sin Nombre in-store and online this fall!
The Sin Nombre spent some series time in the soft Snake trees.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Sin Nombre.
Arbor’s graphics are always on point.
