It’s Smith’s first helmet to meet not only global alpine ski certifications (ASTM F 2040, CE EN 1077: 2007 Class B) but also international mountaineering standards (EN 12492). Koroyd®, a unique honeycomb-like material, is strategically placed to absorb energy more efficiently than traditional materials, acting as a crumple zone while dramatically increasing airflow for superior ventilation. Complementing this, the MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces to the head caused by angled impacts, offering an additional layer of critical safety.
