The Smith Summit MIPS Helmet is the ultimate lightweight, high-performance protection system engineered specifically for technical backcountry touring, ski mountaineering, and splitboarding. Certified to meet both alpine skiing and international mountaineering safety standards (CE EN 1077 and EN 12492), this multi-certified helmet is built to handle the unique, high-output demands of ascending and descending steep technical terrain.

The Summit features an innovative hybrid shell construction that pairs a lightweight in-mold design with targeted Koroyd® coverage in strategic impact zones. Koroyd’s energy-absorbing honeycomb structure crushes uniformly on impact, providing superior, ventilated protection where it matters most. For advanced safety, the MIPS® Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts. To accommodate the physical output of skinning or bootpacking, the helmet features a minimalist design that packs away easily and includes an integrated Smith pack-fast attachment strap to secure it cleanly to the outside of your touring pack.
