I’m not gonna lie, I had no idea there was a governing body for distance skateboarding but when I saw the amount of miles Andy Andras did in a 24 hour period I did a double take. Andy Andras broke the world distance record of 252 miles with his new time of 261.8 miles in 24 hours. That’s an average of 10.9 miles per hour for an entire day! The last world record holder, Paul Kent, was sidelined for weeks with Kidney Failure and Excess Fatigue after his record setting attempt. Andy Andras has been preparing for this event for a year, skating miles everyday, changing his diet, and preparing his mind. Watch the video!
