It’s cool that in this modern era anyone can come up with an idea and stick it on Kickstarter and see if people want it! So today I stumbled upon the Brakeboard. Technically the longboard isn’t anything special, it’s all about the Brakeboard’s trucks. These trucks have a special “disc” braking system. The inventor claims that you won’t get thrown off the board like with crazy wheel bite, but you gradually slow down to a halt which is good for all the commuters out there who aren’t trying to bust a powerslide in the middle of a red light. The prices are high, but that’s to be expected when something doesn’t have massive distribution. My question is this? Do you think this is a worthwhile invention?
