Burton Girls recently held the very first Krista’s PowWow at Brighton Resort; a women’s only snowboard camp centered around giving girls of all ages the chance to progress their skills in a safe and stoked environment. Needless to say, it was a huge success! It’s so great to see events like Krista’s PowWow popping up. I don’t blame girls at all for not always wanting to get into a ridiculously male-dominated sport like snowboarding, but having camps like this is such a sick way of showing women how awesome snowboarding is without being surrounded by a bunch of “chill dudes” with over-inflated egos.
