This blows… there’s no other way to put it. On Nov. 20th, The Soul House Project in Truckee, CA was robbed. The morons who did it made away with $25,000 of gear, most of which was high-end Lib Tech and Burton boards like the T-Rice, Jamie Lynn, Banana Magic, Hot Knife, and Skate Banana from Lib Tech, and the Flight Attendant, Landlord, and Barracuda from Burton.
One thing that’s great to see is John Chapman’s, one of the co-owners, reaction to the whole thing:
“It hurt, we have liability insurance, but they took high end equipment, all our high end Lib Tech’s. We were trying to get these products out to the public.”
Thanks to insurance, he isn’t even worried about the money, he just truly cares about getting great product into the hands of people who will enjoy it. That is the raddest, most positive attitude to have in a time like this, so let’s help The Soul House out! If you find yourself trolling around eBay or Craigslist, keep an eye out for any of the boards mentioned above and please contact John@soulhouseproject.com if you find them anywhere they don’t belong. Also, if you or anyone you know has information on the burglary, you should also contact Sgt. Bob Womack or Detective Arnie Lopez at the Truckee Police Department, their numbers are 530-550-2335 and 530-550-2336.
We’re all in this crazy industry together, let’s help out a great shop in need and bring the a$$holes who stole from them to justice!
