I love seeing progression! It’s not only great to see aspects of snowboarding moving forward, but the pure joy that people feel when they land or learn something new is infectious. This time Michelle Zeller is pushing women’s snowboarding upward and onward by stomping a Double Wildcat in Breckenridge recently. The only other girl I could find who’s landed a double wildcat is Christy Prior, which makes it even more impressive seeing as there’s only two ladies in the WORLD who have landed it!
So check out the video of this epic event, and if you were like me and didn’t realize that there were different types of backflips, here’s good ol’ Wikipedia’s definition of a wildcat. Cheers.
Wildcat: A backflip performed on a straight jump, with an axis of rotation in which the snowboarder flips in a backward, cartwheel-like fashion. A double wildcat is also called a Supercat.
