Snowboarder David “DJ” Torroni Jr. sentenced to 5-years in prison

On November 21, 2012, David Torroni Jr. under the influence of alcohol and marijuana crashed his Ford truck into a Nissan Sentra killing 2 people and critically injuring 1. It’s an awful story ruining everyone’s lives involved, not only the two lost and the one who experiences daily pain, but also Mr. Torroni Jr. who will have to live with that on his conscience the rest of his life, and of course the child of the deceased and the parents, friends, family, etc. I think reading this article about one of us really puts it all into perspective. I love a good pop after a day of snowboarding but make sure you are 100% capable to navigate yourself home afterwards. And of not, call a buddy or a cab. No one ever expects to be the person getting a DUI or worse, killing a couple and going to prison. Try to keep this story in mind this year, have a great time snowboarding, and keep yourself and others accountable. You can read the entire story here if you can stomach it.
