Rome says: Look under the hood of the Agent Rocker and you’ll see a major overhaul for 2011—added lengths and new innovations like PowerBars and PressurePop Technology to give more kick to the Reverse MtnPop camber and QuickRip Sidecut. The result is a board that is super playful in the park, but also has a ton of pop for taking your tricks to natural terrain, taking a new line down some pillows, or taking more speed into a slash.
The Tech
- Reverse Mtn Pop Camber: Rocker between the feet for a fun, loose, floaty ride. Camber on the nose and tail for pop and stability.
- QuickRip Sidecut: A mellow sidecut through the nose/tail and an aggressive sidecut in the center are blended together carefully under your feet. This adds extra contact points where you need them most. At slow speeds the center sidecut is engaged for a quick, precise feel; while at high speeds, the mellow nose/tail sidecut is engaged for longer, more stable turns.
- PressurePop V: Kevlar/basalt plates under foot reach out towards the nose/tail contact points for added pop and torsional sitffness.
- Powerbars Reverse V: V-shaped, 2 layer, carbon/basalt bars set in a “V” formation with the narrow end pointing out on the nose and tail. Bigger ollies and quicker turns.
- Impact Plates: New basalt/kevlar/fiberglass impact plates resist core compression with less weight than the old ones. Decreases the frequency of you needing a new board.
- Impact Edges: Thicker, wider edges that last longer.
- Park Bevel: 2 degree bevel on edges keeps you hook free in the park but still rips up the slopes.
- Sinterspeed Base: A high quality sintered base for maximum wax absorbtion and speed.
