Description
The Burton Family Tree 3D Channel Surfer is a specialized freeride board that bridges the gap between technical snowboarding and surf-inspired fluidity. Part of Burton’s experimental Family Tree line, it utilizes advanced 3D contouring to provide a catch-free, buttery sensation in powder and variable snow.
SPECS
-
3D Shaping: Features surfboard-inspired convex shaping in the tip and tail. This allows the board to roll into turns with extreme ease and provides a “surfy” freedom while maintaining a traditional base through the midsection for edge control.
-
Directional Flat Top Bend: A flat profile overall provides stability and balance, while a rockered nose offers the effortless float required for deep powder days.
-
25mm Taper: A significantly wider nose and narrower tail drop the rear of the board into the snow to naturally lift the nose, enhancing maneuverability in tight trees and deep bowls.
-
Super Fly II™ 700G Core: A lightweight, dual-species wood core that uses stronger and lighter woods in specific areas to provide pop and strength while reducing overall weight.
-
45° Carbon Highlights: A full tip-to-tail carbon layer optimizes the fiberglass matrix to reduce weight and fine-tune torsional feel, delivering snappy response without extreme stiffness.
-
Sintered WFO Base: Infuses a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of an extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material for an ultra-durable base that stays fast in all conditions.
