Positioned just below the ultra-adjustable Pro model, the Waverange X is engineered for intermediate to advanced riders who prefer the natural feel of a traditional strap-binding setup but want a highly responsive, custom fit. Featuring a versatile medium flex (5 out of 10), these boots provide the perfect amount of lateral freedom and smooth ankle articulation for tweaking out grabs in the park, dipping into the trees, or laying down smooth, skate-style carves on fresh corduroy.
The core of the Waverange X’s dialed security is a dual-zone BOA® Coiler™ Fit System powered by Burton’s exclusive New England Ropes. This layout allows for quick, independent upper and lower zone micro-adjustments with a simple twist of a dial, ensuring uniform foot containment without creating harsh pressure points. For elite heel hold, the boot utilizes an internal Heel Hammock harness that actively locks the back of your boot liner into the shell to maximize edge-to-toe power transfer. Inside, the heat-moldable Life Liner uses lightweight, responsive foam that custom-shapes to your feet, while the DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ lining wicks away moisture and traps natural body heat. To keep you riding through mid-winter deep freezes, an underfoot Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil acts as a thermal shield beneath your feet. The boot is anchored by an ultra-lightweight EST® Optimized Outsole that lowers your center of gravity for a better board feel, using a dampening gel insert to effortlessly absorb harsh landings and heavy resort chatter.
