The Essential Service is built around Gnu’s signature C2 Hybrid Contour Profile, which incorporates a rocker zone between your feet for easy pivot control, float in soft snow, and catch-free rail sliding, complemented by powerful camber zones under the bindings for pop, control, and high-speed stability. To keep you locked in on firm snow and icy patches, Mervin’s Magne-Traction® serrated edges provide seven strategically located contact points along each sidecut to bite through hardpack with effortless precision.
Underneath Forest Bailey’s custom topsheet art, the board features a lightweight, poppy G Lite 2 Eco Core made from sustainably harvested Aspen and Paulownia woods. Wrapped in a dynamic blend of Tri-Ax and Bi-Ax fiberglass for optimal torsional stiffness and chatter dampening, the board retains a versatile medium-stiff flex. Finished with an ultra-fast, durable Sintered Base and tough UHMW sidewalls, the 2023 Gnu Essential Service is engineered to handle season after season of hard riding.
