At its core, the Maze MIPS features Lightweight In-Mold Construction. This process fuses the exterior polycarbonate shell with the EPS foam liner into a single piece, creating a helmet that is both incredibly light and durable, capable of providing superior impact protection. For enhanced safety, it includes the MIPS® (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) Brain Protection System. MIPS is a low-friction layer located between the helmet’s outer shell and the liner, designed to allow the helmet to slide relative to the head during certain angled impacts, thereby reducing the rotational forces transmitted to the brain.

The Maze MIPS prioritizes simplicity and comfort. It utilizes a Self-Adjusting Lifestyle Fit System, which is an elastic system at the rear of the liner that flexes to match a range of head sizes and shapes, providing a snug and comfortable fit without the need for a bulky dial. Fixed Airflow Climate Control (9 vents) ensures consistent airflow, helping to regulate temperature and keep you comfortable in various conditions. The AirEvac™ Ventilation system is seamlessly integrated, pulling warm, moist air away from your goggles through internal channels and external vents, significantly reducing fogging and maintaining clear vision.

For added convenience, the helmet features removable Snapfit SL2 Ear Pads that provide warmth, comfort, and are audio-chip compatible (for use with Outdoor Tech™ or Aleck™ audio systems, sold separately). A removable goggle strap lock allows for a streamlined shell when goggles are worn under the helmet or removed entirely. The overall minimalist design also makes it compatible with wearing a beanie underneath for extra warmth or style.
