Description
The Never Summer Nokhu Snowboard returns for the 2027 season as a premier, sustainable all-mountain freeride machine designed to turn the entire mountain into a personal canvas. Named after a prominent, rugged peak in Colorado’s Never Summer Range, this model introduces an eco-conscious tech package while prioritizing deep-snow float and effortless turn mechanics. It targets intermediate to advanced riders who lean toward a “mellow freeride” style—demanding a deck that handles technical, surf-style tree lines and open powder fields with fluid agility, without the exhausting stiffness of a traditional, unforgiving big-mountain board.
The cornerstone of the 2027 Nokhu is its eco-forward WooBoo Wood Core, which precisely fuses sustainable, fast-growing bamboo stringers with ultra-lightweight paulownia, poplar, and foundational birch sections beneath the inserts for high-efficiency structural pull. The profile is anchored by Never Summer’s dynamic Triple Camber Hybrid profile paired with an all-mountain directional shape that boasts a generous 13mm taper and a 40mm (1.58 inch) stance setback. This shape causes the tail to settle into soft snow automatically, allowing the early-rise nose to plane effortlessly over deep chop and heavy powder. For riding on hardpack, resort groomers, or ice, R.I.P. Edge-Hold Technology works in unison with a multi-radius Power Grip Sidecut to carve out deep high-pressure traction waves, yielding maximum edge connection and a smooth, drag-free carve.
