The Scout MIPS features Advanced ABS Bombshell Construction, an injection-molded ABS shell that delivers exceptional impact resistance and unparalleled durability, shrugging off dings and dents with ease. Crucially, it integrates the MIPS® (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) Brain Protection System. MIPS is designed to reduce rotational forces to the brain caused by angled impacts, adding a critical layer of safety during crashes by allowing a small rotation of the helmet’s outer shell relative to the liner.

This helmet is built for year-round action, being dual-certified for both snow and bike use (ASTM F 2040, CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B, CPSC, CE EN 1078). This means it’s the only helmet you need, whether you’re hitting the slopes in winter or the skate park and trails in summer. Consistent airflow is maintained by eight fixed vents, which work seamlessly with Smith goggles via the AirEvac™ ventilation system to push warm, moist air away from your goggles and keep your vision clear and fog-free.

Comfort is ensured by the self-adjusting Lifestyle Fit System, which flexes to conform to various head shapes for a snug, stable, and comfortable fit without fiddly dials.
