A very cool new idea is coming from the minds of our friends at the Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate that we as a local brick and mortar shop are stoked on! During the 2013-14 snow season, Rome is implementing the % For Snowboarding Program. Basically, whenever a customer purchases something directly from Rome’s website, they will have the option to give a portion of the total cost to a shred shop of their choice, such as yours truly!
I personally could not be more thrilled about this program. For those that haven’t read my blog about buying local (shameless plug, I know), I am very passionate about supporting local shops and businesses that in turn support the local scene. I think Rome’s program is a very innovative and unique way to start closing the ever-growing gap between buying local and buying direct.
