Salty Peaks is a premier snowboard shop set in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains of Utah, and we are looking for a Content Writer/Photo Editor to join our small and passionate team. We care about all aspects of snowboarding, from freestyle to freeride, splitboards to swallowtails, but especially supporting the local scene, and we hope all applicants share similar values.
The position of Content Writer will require you to have a good understanding of each product that comes into the store so you can convey its attributes in a brief and concise paragraph, including descriptions of key features. For some products, you will also be required to create sizing charts and embed videos to give customers further knowledge, and ultimately, make them feel comfortable about the products they are purchasing.
As Photo Editor, you will be in charge of finding, resizing, and uploading all product images in a timely and accurate manner. This may require you to seek out and contact various brands in order to get access to their FTP and B2B sites, so you must be comfortable fielding phone calls and e-mails from industry professionals. You must also possess basic knowledge of good photography principles as some older or rarer products will require you to photograph them.
Other duties may include assisting the Web Content Manager with SEO projects, talking to customers if the sales floor gets overwhelmingly busy, and, on rare occasions, helping the Online Department with packing and shipping orders.
