For a couple years, Transworld Snowboarding has been doing it’s part to make sure people know and appreciate the roots of snowboarding. In 2012, they started the Snow Craft Series, telling the tales of some of the pioneers of our industry as well as documenting some new players looking to change the game. Snow Craft is back for a third season, and is sure to be the best one yet.
Season 1 was simply titled Snow Craft, then Season 2 hit with Snow Craft Pioneers, and Season 3, kicking off Sept. 15, is titled Snow Craft Generations. Episode 1 will feature some of our favorite dudes in the industry, Mike Olson and Pete Saari of Mervin Manufacturing, the evil geniuses behind Lib Tech, Gnu, and Roxy snowboards. Episode 2 tracks the tale of Dimitrije Milovich in Winterstick’s Lost Legacy, and Episode 3 is simply titled The New Wave, and is about some of the latest innovations to snowboards, being produced by up and coming board shapers. Check out the trailer below, as well as some of my favorite episodes of the past, because you can never know too much about the history, pioneers, and innovators of snowboarding. Cheers.
