With a major storm like this there are few benefits. Loss of life and property damage are obviously most people’s main focus as they should be. While the Northeast coast is being pummeled by rain and flooding, the inland east coast, mainly West Virginia is being slammed with blizzards and record snowfall. We checked in with our friends at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia to make sure they were doing ok. The report from them is they received 13″ of snow this morning and it is expected to keep going until 4pm tomorrow. Unfortunately they don;t open for business until December 8th, but no one can board right now anyways due to the 57 mph wind gusts on the mountains. If there is a silver lining to this storm, the East Coast just got a boost in their annual base! Our thoughts are with the people of West Virginia and everyone else who has been impacted by this storm.
