In a new media approach to advertising, Ford has given some dude a posse of cameras, a director, and a big budget as well as a car to go on “#onetankadventures” in a Ford Focus ST. What this means is they are trying to make viral videos that relate to many audiences instead of just dropping coin on a commercial during CSI: Miami. I’m cool with that. So in this #onetankadventure they came to Utah to what looks like the Wasatch Range, and blocked off a 4 mile stretch of roadway to film a downhill longboard video with a chase cam mounted to a Ford Focus St as well as cameramen on a motorcycle, truck, and van! Oh yeah, and they had an 8 rotor remote controlled helicopter with a DSLR mounted to it for panning shots. The riders are all Salt Lake City locals, Micah Gree, Trevor Ovendon, Riley Irvine, and Ty Gregg. All in all, if you don’t mind being advertised to, this is an epic longboard video. The video is called Longboarding Adventure: Insane Speeds!
And if you are a film geek and want to see what tech was used, watch this behind the scenes video.
My question is this! Who are the longboarders? Any of y’all know these guys?
