If you’ve been following us closely on all forms of social media this winter season *cough* shameless plug *cough*, you might have noticed that I’ve been posting quite a bit about Chill SLC. Is part of the reason because the new Salt Lake City Coordinator is an ex-Salty Peaker/close friend of mine? You caught me. But the fact of the matter is that he’s killing it! Not only is he making huge strides for the Salt Lake program, but he’s recently been organizing some of the raddest events in the valley! I was unfortunately out of town for the last soiree at Beer Bar, but I have it on good authority that there was an incredible turnout and that the festivities continued well into the crisp night air. Next up on Chill’s hectic calendar is an event I especially cannot wait for, known simply as Tomorrow Art.
Tomorrow Art is a charity auction where people can bid on one-of-a-kind snowboards, hand-painted/crafted by some of the ridiculously talented local artists we have in our fair city, with all the proceeds going to The Chill Foundation. Among the who’s-who of artisans are even some of us from the shop including myself, Floor Managers/Buyers Kerri Fukui and Travis Riggan, our Content Writer Justin Keskin, and #SaltysTeam rider Taylor Miller. It’s all going down at the infamous Fice Gallery and boutique, owned by local legend Laura Hadar, on Saturday, March 14th, but the boards will be up on display starting on the 12th. If you’re in the area, I can guarantee you will not be bummed you attended, as Tomorrow Art is sure to be filled with friendly faces and libations to fuel the fun.
Be sure to read the inspiring write-up our friends at CityHomeCollective did on Chill SLC, otherwise, follow the link below for all the details, and we can’t wait to see you all there!
