The Gnu Beast XC2 snowboard is an aptly named directional freeride board that handles itself all over the mountain. With a behemoth nose built to float the deepest of powder, the Beast won’t be sinking any time soon, but because of the pretty decent tail and not-too-crazy taper, the Beast also does pretty well switch, and can handle park kickers to backcountry booters without breaking a sweat! Powder boards that suck on hardpack are lame, and that’s why we love the Gnu Beast; it totally rips hardpack! The aggressive XC2 hybrid camber profile in combination with the famous Magne-Traction makes for an immensely powerful edge hold which means hard and fast carving without having to deal with the catchiness of traditional camber.
