A four-time winner of the coveted golden duct tape, Temple’s smooth, powerful riding style has influenced freeride snowboarding for decades. The 2027 GNU Banked Country is a fantasy father/son design project between Temple and his skateboard-influenced son, Cannon. Built in Washington State by Mervin Manufacturing—the same pioneers who introduced deep sidecuts and banana tech to the world—this board is a refined, high-performance ATV built with one eye on float, and the other on high-speed carving.

The Banked Country uses a directional and progressive variation of Magne-Traction. It combines a smooth radial entry in the nose for predictable turn initiation with aggressive, "fin-like" serrations strategically placed toward the tail for locked-in, high-speed edge hold when you need it most.

C3 Camber Profile: While Mervin is famous for rocker, the C3 profile is built for aggressive snowboarders. It features dominant camber zones extending to the contacts, with only a mild, subtle rocker between the feet. This creates a highly pressurized carving zone that delivers maximum end-to-end stability and massive pop.

Carbon Power Bands: Integrated into the Triax/Biax fiberglass layup, these carbon bands run through the board to provide radical response and snap without adding the harsh, rigid feel of a fully carbon topsheet.
